Safeguard Helidecks is a fully approved Aviation Inspection Body (AIB), authorised to inspect and assess superyacht helidecks on behalf of the major global Flag States.
We pride ourselves on our responsiveness and are ready to travel wherever we are required to provide a helideck assessment. We are fully committed to discretion and confidentiality, with great respect for the privacy of our clients and frequently operate under Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Once onboard for a Helicopter Landing Area Inspection, we will follow procedure to assess the following criteria:
Following a thorough inspection, a Helicopter Landing Area Inspection Report (HLAIR) is issued and, if all criteria are met, a Helicopter Landing Area Certificate (HLAC), valid for 12 months, is generated.
The team will also conduct a comprehensive debrief with the yacht’s crew, equipping them with the knowledge required to maintain safe operations throughout the year.
It’s important to be aware that a HLAC will cease to be valid if there is a change of yacht ownership, the name of the vessel changes or if there are significant material or equipment changes to the Helicopter Landing Area without prior consultation with the AIB.
